Imaging

Imaging

More and more, patients are taking control of their own health and seeking out providers who offer care at the most affordable price. Imaging is a big factor in this trend. In an increasingly competitive industry, hospitals and health systems must find ways to provide quality testing at the lowest cost.

Acurity’s experts work directly with providers and suppliers to ensure that our members receive the best value on state-of-the-art equipment and technology. We offer hands-on support and consulting services that generate significant savings and process improvement through more efficient use of our contracted products, services, and capital arrangements. Our service model goes beyond contract activation. We work with members on special quick-track imaging projects as well as help members complete major equipment purchase projects from start to finish. We also educate hospitals about how they can improve contract performance and operational efficiencies, providing useful information about new techniques, regulations, and best practices for clinical imaging operations.

Michelle develops imaging programs to bring value to members and contracted suppliers, such as technology updates, educational programs, and quote analysis. Prior to that, Michelle was a nurse manager at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Imaging Equipment Review Program

Requesting departments frequently drive the review and selection of imaging equipment without involving the supply chain. To help supply chain departments better assess these high-cost purchases, we created an Imaging Equipment Review Program that helps organizations ensure that

  • proposals match contracts and costs
  • they are taking advantage of Group Buys and other saving opportunities
  • they are aware of trade-in value and equipment liquidation
