While many of them are smaller businesses, we ensure that they can provide the same quality and have the ability to meet demand. We’ve developed supplier diversity initiatives with the dual purpose of giving qualified diverse suppliers a platform for entering the marketplace more easily and helping member organizations reach their diversity utilization requirements.
Over the past year, Acurity has engaged over 200 diverse suppliers and helped get them on track for state certifications.
Meet Our Expert
Frank Cirillo
Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Frank Cirillo leads the Acurity supplier diversity program and heads the company’s cutting-edge, mission-driven Small and Diverse (minority- and women-owned) Business Economic Development HUB project. He has worked in the healthcare industry for over 40 years in all facets of hospital operations and enjoyed a management tenure of more than 30 years in a variety of C-suite capacities, including Chief Operating Officer at one of the largest public health systems in the nation.
Frank’s expertise includes supply chain, labor/management relations, graduate medical education and provider engagement/training, contracting & negotiations, human resources management, hospital & health-system operations and support services, emergency management, internal audits, compliance, and other key areas. The HUB project, which he currently oversees, will create 1,000 jobs in Brooklyn (New York), deliver added value to our member hospitals, help Acurity members achieve their internal and external diversity goals, as well as help improve health and create wealth in the communities our members serve.
